Off on another cruise adventure
We are sailing on January 8, 2025 from Miami to Santiago, Chile on a 39-night South American adventure on the Regent Mariner. We sailed on the Mariner on our shortened World Cruise in 2020 and are looking forward to being aboard again. It's a lovely ship and we expect to see passengers and crew with whom we have sailed before. Capacity is 700 passengers and around 460 crew. We will be on the first two segments of the 2025 World Cruise and there are passengers who do that almost every year.

Our cabin is on the Starboard side, midship on Deck 7, which is the lowest deck of cabins and just where we like to be as it's generally calmer in that location. Since we'll be sailing in some potentially rough waters, especially around the bottom of South America, this will be the best location and familiar since we'll be right next door to the cabin we had in 2020.
We'll fly to Ft. Lauderdale, then Uber to the pre-cruise hotel, the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables. Since the cruise departs at 1:00 pm, which is a bit earlier than usual, the hotel is provided by Regent so we can arrive the day before. I imagine those on the World Cruise will have a kickoff dinner that night, as we did on our WC in 2020.
There are too many individual ports to list here, so I'll just list the countries:
Dominica
Barbados
French Guiana
Brazil (8 ports)
Uruguay (2 ports)
Argentina (2 ports)
Falkland Islands
Chile (4 ports)
We'll spend three days cruising around the Antarctic Peninsula and a couple of days in the Chilean Fjords in addition to the 12 sea days scattered throughout.
I'm posting this a bit early as we've changed our flights to fly down to FLL this evening ahead of the big winter storm that is coming late tonight and tomorrow. We'll just stay in an airport hotel near FLL before going to Miami on Tuesday.

Sounds like a great itinerary - have a great cruise! Glad you’re missing the big storm on the East coast.
