Tuesday - January 7 - Coral Gables, FL

With the TV working and hot water in the shower, our day started out well.  We meandered down for another nice buffet breakfast and then decided to head down to our overnight hotel around 11 am via Lyft.  As part of the cruise, Regent has arranged for us to spend the night at the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables. The 26-mile trip took about 45 minutes and they had a room ready for us when we arrived so we headed on up.  It's a very large corner room and everything works, so we're happy.

We had lunch in their restaurant and met another cruising couple.  Schwab has an office across the street, so we went there for Michael to take care of some business, then spent the afternoon playing on the computer and watching the funeral of Jimmy Carter.  A rep from Regent was downstairs at 4 pm so we went to get the plan for the evening and morning.  He told us there are about 126 passengers here at the hotel.  The 230 or so who are doing the entire World Cruise (150 days) were taken to the ship this afternoon and will have their kickoff event there.  Our bus will pick us up at 9 am after our included breakfast, so we have to have our bags ready by 6:30 am for the bellman to pick up from the room.  We don't put them outside, so I told Michael no wandering around in his sleepwear in the morning!

We walked to a local Mexican restaurant for dinner, then back to the hotel for an early night.
